Tuesday, March 11

So, we found an apartment.

Sunday and Monday consisted of:

1304 miles traveled
28+ hours in the car
looking at 18 apartment complexes in 3 towns in an unknown territory
staying in a hotel with crappy pillows

So, after all of that craziness, Gram and I did it! Found the perfect place, and got approved for move in. I'll be moving in March 24th. Starting my new job March 31st. 479 miles from here. Whew.

Big News

So, as many of you know I've been a bum for the past 2 years. I was going to apply to go to a school of medical technology in the fall of this year. But, after applying for more than 45 job positions, 12 interviews and no luck, I decided to branch out of South Carolina and look along the Eastern coast. The last week in January I flew up to interview for a job right outside of Washington, DC. I got a call today that I got the job. So, my official start date is March 31st, and that's when I'll begin my new career (and life) in Washington, DC as a study technician in the pathology department of one of the world's leading clinical research organizations.

It's 7 hours from Columbia, and 8 from Spartanburg, but I believe that the trip will get very familiar. So, I have the next month to enjoy getting together with everyone one last time before I jump into a new land.

January 2008

I have no idea where the month of January went. I feel like it might not even have happened, but I guess time just flies when you are having fun. All I know is that I worked a ton of hours and went to the circus. : ) I LOVE the circus!!!!

Christmas 2007

Here are some pictures from Christmas:

Thanksmas : )

So, Aaron's Dad's side of the family gets together once during the holidays, and they've made a new name for that gathering: THANKSMAS. It's catchy, I like it. : ) Well, this was the first time most of the family got to see Brendan's baby- Kiernan. So, we all got together in Spartanburg and had a great time. Here's the pictures:

There were lots of animals staying at the royer house.

Cecilia!

Cecilia was such a great girl... and I miss her SO much! She was at USC for the semester through a student exchange program within the United States. Well, she got hired and worked in the TA room at Outback with us and lead us to have TONS of laughs and good times. Here are some pictures, from the fair and going out. But, it was sad to see her go back to California, but gives Teresa and I a good reason to travel some more! So, we're planning a trip to Southern CA and Las Vegas for this summer... YAY!

Thanksgiving

So, I'm not sure if Thanksgiving was the next event but, we'll get everything covered... no worries! So, Thanksgiving was fun. We just did dinner at Grandma's. Aaron and his family went up to the mountains and Kathy, Jeff and the kids stayed in Tennessee, so it was a small gathering. My Dad loves his turkey fryer... and man it make delicious, juicy meat!

wow... it's been a long time...

It definitely has been awhile. Things have been boring then super crazy and nothing in between so I have not been motivated or have no time. But, I have the entire day off and some BIG news. But, that will have to wait. I'm going to make separate posts briefing each event/holiday that has happened since Halloween... I'm so terrible at this. LOL! So, here's my life (the past four months in a nutshell)...

Aaron and I kept Aeris for a couple days and we went to the zoo and the fair and here are some pictures.

Grizzly Bears at Riverbanks.

Playing in the penguin cave.

With her friend, the dino.

The reef.

Milking the cow.

Riding the carousel, her favorite!

Making Bubbles.

Playing with the little birdy.

It's a LLLLLlLLLLLLLLlama.

Beautiful!
